On Friday, 5 April 2013, at around two in the morning, we set off from SERŠ on Gosposvetska cesta towards Slovakia. We travelled through Hungary and arrived at the gymnasium in Košice at around nine. First we went to the gymnasium's sports hall, where the competition was to take place the next day. We put down our things and started working on the robots. Half an hour later we got wireless internet, and meanwhile Matjaž and I took our luggage to the boarding house where we would spend the next two nights (if we slept at all). More programming and testing followed, while some of the other competitors and our mentor, Prof. Waldhütter, took a closer look at the city. We are still in the hall, programming.

Day 2
For us, day two began at midnight, since nobody wanted to go to sleep anyway. We worked on the robots. By three in the morning everyone except Matjaž was asleep, while he kept working on his robot. We woke up at seven and got back to work. At around half past nine we went to the hall. In the first round we finished second and fourth; the second round looked better, and in the end the team of Bojan Potočnik and Matej Drobnič took 1st place in Rescue B, and the team of Matjaž Kajba, Andraž Vergles and me took 3rd. In the evening, after the competition, we went into the city centre and saw some of the sights. We went to bed at around two in the morning (everyone except Andraž and Matjaž, who had a LAN party until four, playing CS 1).

1st and 3rd place
SERŠ TEAM and SERŠ TEAM 1 did excellently at the Slovak Open in building and programming mobile robots, RoboCup 2013 in Košice.
After a tense battle in the final round, SERŠ TEAM — Bojan Potočnik and Matej Drobnič — won 1st place with every available point, beating even the Slovak team that had won the world championship in Istanbul, which finished 2nd. Our second team, SERŠ TEAM 1 — Andraž Vergles, Matjaž Kajba and Domen Ornik — took 3rd place.
