The SERŠ Maribor robotics club had another very successful school year. Two teams competed at the Slovak Open, winning 1st and 3rd place. They then took the top two places at the RoboCup 2012 Rescue B Junior national championship in Maribor. With that, SERŠ TEAM qualified for the RoboCup 2012 Rescue B Junior world championship, held in Mexico City from 18 to 24 June 2012.
This was the second year in a row that our students qualified for the world championship. Last year in Istanbul they won 2nd place.
SERŠ TEAM — Bojan Potočnik, Matej Drobnič and Tadej Tofant — once again finished among the best in the world, winning an excellent 3rd place in the SUPER TEAM competition together with the Brazilian team Emerotecos.
